However, beyond the cocktails and shopping, there is a growing community of fitness enthusiasts who find peace in the early morning streets and sandy shores.

Spots for Jogging in Seminyak, Bali

If you are planning a stay in this vibrant area, you might be wondering where to clock in those miles.

Here are 6 scenic spots for jogging in Seminyak that will give you a taste of both the island’s natural beauty and its chic urban energy:

1. Double Six Beach

double-six-beach

  • Address: Jl. Double Six, Kelurahan Seminyak, Kecamatan Kuta, Kabupaten Badung, Bali 80361.

Double Six Beach is perhaps the most iconic location for jogging in Seminyak.

Known for its wide, flat expanse of golden sand, it offers a liberating running experience that feels miles away from the busy traffic.

For the best footing, try running near the waterline when the tide is low; the sand there is packed firm, providing a stable surface that is easier on your ankles.

If you prefer a more solid ground, there is a paved pedestrian path lined with palm trees stretching from Jalan Melasti to the end of Double Six.

This route is approximately 1.6 km (1 mile) out-and-back, but for those craving a longer session, you can easily extend your run to 3.6 km by heading south toward Kuta or north toward Petitenget.

Best Time to Visit:

  • Morning (05:30 – 08:00): This is the golden window. The air is crisp, the beach is quiet, and you’ll share the shore with only a few early birds and local dogs.

  • Late Afternoon (16:30 – Sunset): It’s stunningly beautiful, but be prepared to dodge beach umbrellas, volleyball games, and crowds gathering for sunset drinks.

2. Jalan Raya Pusat Seminyak (Central Seminyak)

  • Address: Jl. Raya Seminyak, Seminyak, Kec. Kuta, Kabupaten Badung, Bali 80361.

If you enjoy an urban "city run" vibe, Jalan Raya Seminyak offers a challenging yet rewarding route.

This is the main artery of the area, and jogging in Seminyak here lets you soak in the local hustle and bustle before the town fully wakes up.

A great starting point is the Bintang Supermarket area. The path consists of sidewalks running along the main road.

While the stretch is about 1.8 km long, it requires focus; some sections are narrow, and you might encounter uneven tiles or the occasional parked vehicle.

Along the way, you’ll pass beautiful art spaces like Nyaman Gallery and various designer boutiques that look peaceful in the early morning light.

This route is strictly for early risers. By 08:00 AM, the traffic picks up, and the heat, combined with vehicle exhaust, makes it much less pleasant. Stick to the 05:30 AM start time to enjoy the serenity.

3. Petitenget Beach

  • Address: Jalan Petitenget, Desa Kerobokan Kelod, Kecamatan Kuta Utara, Kabupaten Badung, Bali 80361.

For those who find Double Six a bit too busy, Petitenget Beach is a fantastic alternative.

Located right next to the historic Pura Petitenget, this beach offers a more "exclusive" and slightly more local feel.

The sand here is remarkably wide and clean, making it perfect for barefoot running.

The atmosphere is significantly more low-key, you won't find as many vendors or rental chairs cluttering your path.

It is also a great "connector" spot; you can run south toward Seminyak beach or north toward the quieter Batu Belig area.

Best Time to Visit:

  • Morning (05:30 – 07:30): You might catch glimpses of locals performing morning rituals at the temple, adding a spiritual touch to your workout.

Parking is easy here, costing only around IDR 2,000 for a scooter.

4. Jalan Kayu Aya (The "Eat Street")

  • Address: Jl. Kayu Aya, Seminyak, Kec. Kuta, Kabupaten Badung, Bali 80361.

Jalan Kayu Aya, famously known as "Eat Street" or Oberoi Street, is the crown jewel of Seminyak’s lifestyle scene.

While it’s usually packed with foodies and shoppers, it actually makes for a very "chic" jogging route if you time it right.

The path is about 1.5 km long, starting from the main Seminyak intersection and ending at the beach near The Seminyak Beach Resort & Spa.

The sidewalks here are generally better maintained than in other parts of town. As you run, you’ll pass iconic spots like Seminyak Square and Sisterfields.

It’s a flat route, so it’s not physically taxing, but it’s visually stimulating with all the high-end architecture.

You must finish your run by 07:00 AM. After this, the street transforms into a logistical hub with delivery trucks and tourists hunting for breakfast, making jogging in Seminyak through this specific street nearly impossible.

5. Jalan Drupadi & Jalan Camplung Tanduk Area

  • Address: Jl. Drupadi & Jl. Camplung Tanduk, Seminyak, Bali.

Looking for a more residential and "leafy" vibe? The area around Jalan Drupadi and Jalan Camplung Tanduk (formerly known as Jalan Abimanyu) is a favorite for local expats.

This area is characterized by narrower streets lined with private villas, boutique hotels, and yoga studios.

It’s much quieter than the main roads. Many runners like to create a "loop" here: Start at Jalan Drupadi, turn into Jalan Camplung Tanduk, head toward the beach, and circle back via Jalan Kayu Aya.

It’s a great way to see the "hidden" side of Seminyak, the quiet alleys and the lush greenery spilling over villa walls.

It feels more intimate. You’ll often see other runners or locals walking their dogs, creating a nice sense of community.

6. Seminyak Village Loop

  • Address: Jl. Kayu Jati No. 8, Seminyak, Kec. Kuta, Kabupaten Badung, Bali 80361.

The "Lingkar Seminyak Village" refers to the block surrounding the Seminyak Village and Seminyak Square malls. This is arguably the most polished urban route for jogging in Seminyak.

The loop usually involves Jalan Kayu Jati, Jalan Kayu Aya, and Jalan Petitenget. The sidewalks here are wide, paved with smooth tiles, and very well-lit.

One full lap is roughly 800 meters to 1.2 km. Because the pavement is so even, it's one of the safest places for a night run (after 21:00) when the shops are closed but the streetlights are still bright.

If you get too hot, you can pop into the mall for a quick blast of AC, and there are plenty of spots nearby like Revolver Coffee to grab a post-run hydration boost.
