Must-Bring Clothes and Pants

When vacationing in Bali, clothing selection should be tailored to personal safety. With the hot and humid weather, lightweight and comfortable clothing is the best choice. Here are some must-have clothes and pants:

  1. T-shirts and Tank Tops: Choose breathable cotton to stay comfortable during outdoor activities.

  2. Shorts and Skirts: Use lightweight shorts or skirts as they are perfect for exploring the beach or tourist attractions.

  3. Swimsuit: Pack some swimsuits if you plan to relax at the beach or pool.

  4. Evening Wear: When you want to attend a dinner or special event, pack some more formal and comfortable outfits.

Footwear

Flip-flops or slip-on shoes present a practical option for supporting your feet during a stroll or exploring the local market.

Pack comfortable hiking boots or sneakers if you plan to hike or do high-mobility activities. Remember to bring waterproof sandals if you're visiting wet or watery areas.

Sun Protection

The sun in Bali can be powerful, so you need to protect your skin from direct UV exposure. Here are some sun protection items to bring:

  1. Sunscreen: Choose a sunscreen with an SPF of at least 30 to 50 to protect your skin from UVA and UVB exposure.

  2. Hat: Wear a wide-brimmed hat to protect your face and neck from direct sunlight.

  3. Sunglasses: Sunglasses with UV protection can protect your eyes from direct sunlight.

Medical Supplies and Vitamins

Prioritize your health during your vacation to Bali. For this reason, it's a good idea to pack vitamins, personal medications, and a first aid kit just in case.

Face masks and hand sanitizers should also be brought along to maintain personal hygiene in unclean surroundings. Also, bring emergency medications for allergies or special health conditions.

Technology and Gadgets

Technology is one of the must-have items to accompany your long trip. With the right gadgets, your vacation experience will be even more special.

  1. Power Bank: With so many photo-taking activities and using navigation apps, a power bank is one of the most valuable tools to keep electronic devices charged.

  2. Adapter/Charger: Bring a universal adapter to charge your electronic devices without problems.

  3. Camera or GoPro: To capture beautiful moments during your vacation, equip yourself with a quality camera or GoPro. These tools will go a long way in capturing every moment with a high-quality finish.

Money & Important Documents

Before leaving for Bali, prepare all the documents needed to make your trip run smoothly.

  1. Passport, Visa, & Photocopies: Make sure your passport is valid. If you need a VISA, prepare the original document and a photocopy as a backup.

  2. Driving License and International Driver's License: When planning to rent a vehicle in Bali, bring along a driver's license and an international driver's license if required.

  3. Identity Card: Carry an identity card such as KTP as an additional document.

  4. Cash and ATM Card: Although many places already support cashless transactions, you should still prepare some cash to make small transactions.

Toiletries

Almost all lodgings provide toiletries. However, bringing your own for convenience is fine.

Bring soap, shampoo, a toothbrush, and a small towel if needed. Also, bring a skincare kit, such as a moisturizer, to moisturize your skin after a long day in the sun.

Luggage and Bags

Several suitcases and bags can be used to store all your personal belongings. Here are some of them:

  1. Lightweight Suitcase: Choose a briefcase made of lightweight yet strong material. This will make it easier for you to carry it wherever you go.

  2. Backpack: A small backpack helps carry everyday items while exploring the island.

  3. Beach Bag: When visiting the beach, equip yourself with a large bag to carry beach gear such as towels, sunscreen, and swimsuits.
